Dining at Desert Heights Preschool

Desert Heights Schools participates in the National School Lunch Program.  Therefore, Desert Heights Preschool (DHP) offers a healthy breakfast menu for our before care students at a low cost.  We serve breakfast and lunch daily in accordance to state and federal regulations.  According to day care preview; children who start their day with breakfast have fewer behavioral problems. Also, parents, teachers and other school staff have witnessed that children who eat breakfast do better in school. In accordance with the above-mentioned program, your family may qualify for free or reduced price meals.  Please fill out a free and reduced meal application to see if you qualify for the program.  Applications are available on our website or you may pick one up in the front office.

Weekly meal order forms are available on our website or in the front office.  We accept cash or check in the office.  Please visit our website for more information, or you may contact the Food Service Director.

Your child’s weekly tuition cost  includes two yummy snacks, lunch plate, and a juice/milk at each sitting.

Our staff encourages our students to make healthy choices, to use table manners, and to do their very best to try new food items. We continue our learning even while we dine! Our students learn social skills, independence, self-esteem, and the use of motor skills just by enjoying a good meal around the table with their friends?

DHP works with parents to accommodate students who have food allergies. We understand each child is unique and try our best to work as a team alongside parents in hopes to provide a safe environment.   If your child has a food allergy or is lactose intolerant, you will be asked to fill out a Special Dietary Needs form.   For food allergies other than lactose intolerance, a doctor’s specifications must also accompany the form in order for us to make substitutions.  Please see the Food Service Director for more information.
